Once you have selected your topic, start finding out as much as you can about the science “behind the headlines.” Identify a “Science Star” – a researcher who is involved in the work you plan to write about – and ask for an interview. Consider this Science Star as your expert source.

Preparing For An Interview (Preview)

There are three interview modes: in-person; by phone or through email. While you may prefer one mode over another, be prepared to accommodate the needs of your Science Star.
